Informed choice often leaves the room when vaccines walk in.  Many parents trust their pediatricians and do not question their gardasilrecommendations about anything. Actually, this is true of many adults with their own physicians, as well.

At routine office visits, a vaccine may be recommended, and it may not even occur to the parent to question it. “Oh, the doctor said my daughter needs this vaccine, so I guess she does.” A consent form covered with miles of tiny print may be presented for the parent to sign. It may be signed after a cursory glance.

Like so many tragedies, it may all just happen so fast. The shot is given. Next thing they know, their daughter has passed out. The medical practitioner may tell the parent that this is a side effect of the medication.  The practitioner may even recommend that the second and third shots in this series of three be given.

Um, what?

After the vaccine, new and upsetting symptoms may begin. At first, you may not connect it to anything in particular. After a while though, a thought wriggles into your mind…didn’t you hear something about children’s health being drastically compromised after receiving Gardasil?

Parents of children who are 18 years old or older, please take special note: If your child is at their well visit without you present, the pediatrician may tell them they need this vaccine. Your child, if he or she is not made aware of the potential dangers here, and who is used to years and years of receiving vaccines at their well visits, may say “Okay” to this, without even realizing what they are agreeing to. Without questioning it.
Forewarned, in this case, may be forearmed.
Drill it into your sons and daughters not to consent to this or any other medical treatment without a full consideration of all of the potential risks involved. In this case, side effects may include sudden collapse, seizures, Lupus, brain inflammation, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Guillian Barre Syndrome, blood clots, optic neuritis, strokes, Multiple Sclerosis, disabling fatigue, and death (source: National Vaccine Information Center: HPV). Weigh these against any potential benefit.

Here are some links below about the Gardasil vaccine, for your information.  There are many, many others available to you online (but be discerning, because, of course, not everything you read online is the truth).

Educate your children. Educate yourself.
