Hello, my name is Mary Ann Ratteree the owner of Deeply Touched Reflexology and Healing Arts.
I am a certified professional reflexologist.
That’s how the journey to changing my life started.
After a year I found a office space in a medical building that has worked out beautifully for seeing my clients. I call this time in my life, as … jumping off the cliff. Looking back, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, I had no idea if I would be able to support myself financially, or if anyone would be interested in receiving reflexology.
Sure, I was scared of all of the unknowns and what if’s but I trusted the universe would provide.
The first couple of years I educated my community, or anyone that would listen about the benefits of reflexology. Reflexology is one of those modalities I have found that can be challenging to explain, and one needs to experience to truly understand the benefits. I believe reflexology has opened the door for me to help people feel better, body mind and spirit. It has led me on a path to learning more holistic healing’s to bring to my practice to help my clients. I am forever grateful for hearing that “word” while enjoying my personal favorite place on earth.
Reflexology is a holistic healing method to help the body relax and find balance.
When the body relaxes it wants to heal itself given that opportunity. I work on the feet, hands, and ears. Reflex points have been identified on all three areas that mirror the body. Foot reflexology is the most popular with my clients, usually a 60 minute session. At the beginning of each session I ask the client if they would like to share with me concerns or problems going on in their body. During the session when I am working on the feet I address those concerns. Every muscle, organ and system in the body is represented somewhere on the feet. My job is to help release blockages or crystals, and sometimes add energy to the body while working on the feet. This helps the body relax, and bring balance.
The physical benefits of reflexology can vary: pain relief, reduce blood pressure, activate nerve endings, relieve sciatica, help plantar fasciitis, reduce depression.
It is a practice that creates a sense of well-being and good health.
I am a true believer in healing, moving forward, listening and trusting. Most of all I believe in “jumping off the cliff” to follow your life’s mission.
