I have a new book coming out (watch the book trailer here: Honor Your Health), so I decided it was time to update my head shot for the cover and the new website I was working on. Do any of you like to get your picture taken? I do NOT.
My former head shot was fairly painless to obtain, because the photographer who was doing my daughter’s senior high school pictures allowed me to tag along and she took a couple of shots of me, too. So this was all about her, not me. Easier for me to manage not feeling awkward and such.
This time it was different. It was just me. I wondered who I should ask to help me with this. Oddly, it was sort of my daughter that led me to the answer again! I remembered a photo of the two of us together that was taken a year ago on Mothers Day by Christine of Christine Anuszewski Photography (see above).
I loved how she captured that moment between me and my daughter. We didn’t look awkward or self-conscious at all! We had our challenges, because I wanted to get the photos done at the ocean (Hello? The ocean in Maine in March? It was, like, 40 degrees and the wind was howling, but Christine took it all in stride).
So, I just wanted to give a shout out to Christine for her patience and kindness in helping me get a great photo for the cover of my new book.
