Her Badass Story by Dr. Lori Monaco is a compilation of stories written by nine brave women.
These experiences of these women surely will resonate with something you have experienced in your own life. Many of them started their lives behind the eight ball–behind many eight balls, in some cases.
But this is not where their stories end. It’s where they begin.
Geronda Wollack-Spiller’s words in Chapter 7 will feel true for anyone who has ever lived in an abusive household: “My home was not my shelter …” as will Chenille Hernandez’s words in Chapter 3 for anyone whose job has taken a turn for the worst: “My dream job became my shit job.” Keep reading

Now that I am no longer watching ANY propaganda—whoops!—mainstream media, I have so much free time to fill with learning and doing new things!
I found Brooke Whipple’s YouTube channel, Girl in the Woods, and I love it.
Why do I love it? Let me count the ways:
I tested it with my one word for this year by asking, “Does this ALIGN with my values?” Freedom? Check. Being brave? Check. Getting outside? Check.
Also, one of the absolute best ways to get out of your head (read: anxiety producing thoughts) is to ground yourself in your body, and one of the best ways to do that is to get outside and be in nature.
So in addition to being able to pretend I am out in the woods alone building a cabin, I also am learning a lot exactly what skills are needed for this. You know, just in case I ever decide to be brave and actually do it! Keep reading

Some of my favorite books to read ever were the Nancy Drew Mysteries.
Usually I am not that excited when books are made into movies, never mind into a TV Series, but I was too curious to ignore the Nancy Drew one on the CW network.
I am not a fan of gruesome images or anything really scary on TV, both of which I found in this series.
I didn’t stop watching, though! I love the characters! I want them to be safe! I want to see how they figure things out!
If you can, watch this series. I recommend it. It’s fun. And scary! Here’s a tip if you are very nearsighted like me: Take your glasses off when you anticipate a scary scene (such as when the ghost will appear!) to take the edge off the fright. You’re welcome. Keep reading

Welcome to this month’s BRAVE Interview with Jane Fecteau!
WHO are you? Hi! My name is Jane Fecteau. I am a medical intuitive, energy healer and I specialize in helping people with chronic pain and chronic illness conditions using energy healing methods. Over the years, I have trained many practitioners in the same healing techniques that I use every day. These trademark techniques help my clients attain greater levels of health and balance in all aspects of their lives; physical, emotional, spiritual and Life Path. Although I taught many practitioners with in person classes, I wondered how many more people I could help if I had an on-line school! From this perspective I could help anyone in the world, from across all stages and phases of life, who want to commit their lives to healing others. In my 19 years of practice I’ve established a client base in all 50 states and a sizable amount from all across the world. As I served more people, I realized I could do even more if I had a school.

Welcome to this month’s BRAVE Interview with Melanie Delorme!
I am a teacher, a wife, a mother, an author who was given the role of bereaved mom in 2008 when my 8-year-old son, Garrett, was accidentally shot and killed in a hunting accident.
It would have been so easy to allow this horrific experience to define me as a grief-stricken mom for the rest of my life. I’m not sure how long it took me to realize that Garrett deserved a better legacy than that.
I also realized that healing and moving forward was my choice.
I try to choose every day to celebrate Garrett’s life and to remember that knowing him for eight years made me a better person.
I spent a lot of time writing in a journal during the first few years after Garrett’s death. I have since turned my writing into a book and published it. It is entitled, After the Flowers Die: A Handbook of Heartache, Hope and Healing After Losing a Child. I do not want any bereaved parent to ever feel alone. I have recently created a website, promoted my book at book signings, participated in my first TV interview, participated in a live grief webinar. Currently I am working on creating a journaling course for grieving parents. Keep reading

Welcome to this month’s interview with Stormie Grace!
Being Brave…
Hello everyone I am Astrologer Stormie Grace! …….really what I am is just a human! That comes with its pretty standard fears, insecurities, Delights, Mysteries, and all else that encompasses The Human Experience pause. The two qualities I’ve been invited to talk to you about today from my experience are fear and bravery.
No matter how it presents itself, fear always has this low-level vibration telling me I am somehow not enough as I am, and God forbid I get any different because then I’ll definitely be not enough.
If you know what I’m talking about, you know what I’m talking about, but really, in my experience what Fear actually is actually is the thief that robs me from my life. It should absolutely be classified with stealing, yeah, because it robs me of the moments I could be experiencing how enough I am! And how much Beauty there is in the enough to notice. Keep reading
